BE THE AUDIENCE THAT HELP DISTRIBUTE BROWN

Synopsis

A Brown Immigrant, Chased By Immigration Enforcement ICE, Tries To Protect A Young White Orphan Child And Struggles To Build A New Life In America. BROWN: A Film By Maker of UNFREEDOM Raj Amit Kumar

What is Brown?

THE FILM IS READY, HELP US SPREAD THE STORY.

BROWN is a heart wrenching feature film shot in Butte, Montana, about a quiet immigrant being chased by ICE Agents (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) while trying to make a safe haven with a young white orphan girl he has rescued from abuse. Independent filmmaker Raj Amit Kumar, known for UNFREEDOM, a critically acclaimed film that was banned in India and later distributed worldwide by Netflix, has made his second film, BROWN.

With Brown, Kumar dismantles the stereotypes we have about Immigrants by offering a deeply personal narrative of a displaced man’s challenges and choices. In a world where we are constantly told to erect walls against outsiders– BROWN is an intimate film which portrays the poignant human realities behind the immigration debate. The Film Crew has done the hard work, the film is ready for Release. We need your help to spread BROWN to the World!

Director’s Note

Brown chronicles life through the immigrant point of view: the reality of being defined by skin color in an instant. It highlights and personalizes the subcultures and shadow economies where outsiders of all kinds make a living. Due to the historic influx of refugees and illegal immigrants, many western countries, including America, are seeing the growth of nationalism and fear of the “outsider” people, even those who are escaping war, extreme poverty and natural disasters. Brown attempts to humanize the immigrant while the viewer witness his life experience for a couple hours.

WHY SHOULD YOU SPONSOR SCREENINGS AND TICKETS FOR OTHERS?

Most people do not buy Social Impact Cinema but these stories must be told and spread in the world.

Film studios, driven by profit, often limit filmmakers to conventional plots, overlooking storylines that delve into complex social and human issues. Raj Amit Kumar’s experiences with his film UNFREEDOM—which was banned in India yet found an international audience through NETFLIX—demonstrate his commitment to breaking these boundaries. His latest film, BROWN, addresses the immigration issue outside the mainstream narratives.

These significant films are driven by individuals like YOU who appreciate the transformative power of art and culture. We aim to make films that challenge societal norms and captivate and engage audiences. By buying tickets for others, particularly students, you expose them to social impact cinema. This helps disseminate stories that change perspectives and encourage global understanding.

Be the Change – support guerrilla cinema and ensure that crucial human stories reach a broader audience, fostering change and enlightenment worldwide.

The film can be sent to people who you chose to- your friends and friends, your work colleagues, or members of any other organization of your choice. If you decide not to chose your network, we will send it to students from our database of Universities.

HELP THE MISSION – BUY BROWN AND GET REWARDS

This is a Guerrilla Film Release Campaign. It is You who funds to distribute this film to the world. You are the hero of this campaign. You can gift the film to your friends and family OR donate the film to students worldwide, and we will send the film to students at a college or university of your choice.

Yes, We can do that! But then how do we make another film like BROWN and UNFREEDOM. How does Guerrilla Cinema survive? It is of utmost importance to create an ecosystem which allows for making and disseminating such films. And it can happen only with help of Champions like YOU who come to support Guerrilla Cinema and become in fact Producers of such films with small participation to big participation. We have clarified where the money goes from the sales of Tickets and how we operate as Not-for-Profit Endeavour. This is our first experiment in building this Guerrilla Ecosystem which will help produce our next film BLACK BOOTS - Story of First African American Marines.
Where does all the money go from these 1 Million Ticket Sales?
The allocation of revenue from ticket sales is detailed in the sections WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO? We operate on a not-for-profit basis, with a primary goal of making and disseminating guerrilla cinema.

No. This is part of our strategy in building this ecosystem for Guerilla films that the film will be available only through the Campaign until the goal is achieved.
Why don't you just send the film to 1 million people free of cost? What is the need to run this campaign, the film is already ready?
While it may seem like a simple solution to distribute the film for free, it is important for us to ensure that independent filmmakers continue to create meaningful stories that have a serious impact on society. By running this campaign, we not only support the growth of guerrilla cinema with our upcoming project, Black Boots, but also allocate 40% of revenue to immigrant organizations. This approach allows us to sustain the filmmaking process and contribute to positive social change.
Why not opt for a mainstream film release? Why choose this campaign instead?
Mainstream studios operate under a profit-driven model, often restricting filmmakers to safe, formulaic storytelling. Our decision to launch through this campaign stems from a desire to break free from these constraints to create an ecosystem which allows for making and disseminating Guerrilla films for Social Impact.

What is Your Economic Breakdown of who gets what from the Screening Events you conduct?
65% of Ticket Sales from Screenings is given to the Exhibitor. 35% goes to the organizer of the Screening Event. We do not take anything, our goal with Screenings is to Spread the story and build more and more Partners who can come behind the film to spread it in the world.

Explain to us How are you a Not for Profit Organisation? How is this campaign a Not for profit campaign?
Our organization operates on a not-for-profit principle, as outlined in the allocation of funds detailed earlier, majority of the revenue generated goes to the marketing, and individuals and organizations involved in the campaign. We do not derive monetary benefits from the film itself. Our sole objective is to maximize viewership and promote our cause. Additionally, the last remaining funds go towards our next guerrilla film - BLACK BOOTS.
Can I invest in your future projects?
Yes, absolutely! Please email us at akr@playstudios.world for further information on investment opportunities in our future projects.
How long will this campaign last?
This campaign will last until it achieves its goals and objectives.

Our team ensures that the film either reaches everyone through the email addresses provided by the purchaser OR we send it directly to students in different Universities. We will be providing a list of people receiving the film on our website.
